Police searching for armed thief

Gilroy – An armed man robbed the Koret of California store of $400.

He is described as Hispanic, in his early 20s, 5-foot-4 inches tall, 160 pounds, bald with brown eyes. He entered the store at 8300 Arroyo Circle No. 380 just after 12pm Friday, produced a handgun, and demanded cash, police said.

He was seen in a 1999 gray Ford pick-up truck that was reported stolen out of San Jose.

South County Coyote Valley meeting

Morgan Hill – The City Council will meet Wednesday to discuss an update on the Coyote Valley Specific Plan and identify future steps for South County agencies.

The Coyote Valley development – between Morgan Hill and south San Jose – will eventually bring about 80,000 people, 50,000 homes, and 25,000 jobs.

The one-hour meeting begins at 4:30pm, at the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, 17000 Monterey Road, Morgan Hill.
