We need gutsy leaders who will pull the plug on millions wasted on transit

Dear Editor,
Happy New Year!
Saying that Valley Transportation Authority General Manager Pete
Cipolla is

the captain that brought down the ship

is bull-puckey. That’s like blaming the coach of a team of
double-amputees who couldn’t beat the Harlem Globe Trotters, or the
coach of a team of paraplegics who lost the college football
championship game to the USC Trojans.
Dear Editor,

Happy New Year!

Saying that Valley Transportation Authority General Manager Pete Cipolla is “the captain that brought down the ship” is bull-puckey. That’s like blaming the coach of a team of double-amputees who couldn’t beat the Harlem Globe Trotters, or the coach of a team of paraplegics who lost the college football championship game to the USC Trojans.

VTA’s transit system was designed fatally flawed by radical socialists. It reminds me of the Titanic built with a hole big enough to pass an iceberg. VTA’s transit system design would make Marx, Engels, Trotsky and Lenin proud, but it’s a sick horse that should have been aborted. An Einstein couldn’t get that pig to fly.

What’s amazing is how long the GM lasted, given the billions of tax dollars wasted.

Firing the GM of a socialist cesspool won’t do anything to fix the mess. Poor, disabled and handicapped who seek a solution ought to consider how many welfare-to-work trains (or buses) are running in the USSR today. None, and that’s where we are headed if we don’t stop our irresponsible leaders.

The sooner we have leaders who pull the plug on the socialist transit the better off we will be.

Caveat Viator!
