term illness. He was 82.
Hubert (Hugh) George Foster died Jan. 19, 2005, after a long term illness. He was 82.
Born Sept. 21, 1922 in the Los Angeles area, Mr. Foster enlisted in the United States Navy in 1942 and was commissioned as a lieutenant in 1944 during World War II. He was honorably discharged in 1946.
Mr. Foster retired from McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft in 1977 after many years of exemplary service.
After retirement he lived for many years on the coast of Mexico until ill health forced him to move to the Gilroy area in 1998. For many years he was an avid reader and fantastic trumpet player.
He leaves behind his devoted wife Margaret of 45 years. He is survived by his daughters, Kathleen Smith of San Juan Bautista, Judy Tarbuck, Carol List, Cathy and Diane Foster; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

He requested no services be held.
