Memorial fund in honor of Bill Lindsteadt

Dear Editor,
Much has been said about the great job Bill Lindsteadt as the
director of the Gilroy Economic Development Committee. Bill helped
position Gilroy to weather the financial storm we are facing today.
Without his support and endless efforts to bring business to
Gilroy, we would be hurting financially.
Dear Editor,

Much has been said about the great job Bill Lindsteadt as the director of the Gilroy Economic Development Committee. Bill helped position Gilroy to weather the financial storm we are facing today. Without his support and endless efforts to bring business to Gilroy, we would be hurting financially.

Bill also brought music for us to enjoy. Having been involved with the Gilroy Memorial Day activities for a number of years, we could always count on Bill and the Garlic City Harmony to entertain us on the parade route and in the park afterwards. Garlic City Harmony sang downtown, at the Garlic Festival and at events throughout the city. Bill loved to sing.

In his memory, Susan Jacobson, James Suner and I have started the Bill Lindsteadt Memorial Fund. Donations will go towards the new Gilroy Arts Center and naming the box office in Bill’s honor. If more funds are collected then needed for the art center, a scholarship will be established in Bill’s names for Gilroy High School or Gavilan students who is seeking a degree in music.

Donations can be made out to the Bill Lindsteadt Memorial Fund at South Valley National Bank. If you have any questions, you can contact me at 408-710-6090.
