Caltrain will survey Gilroy riders
Gilroy – South County residents who commute on Caltrain will have a chance next week to persuade the agency to maintain service levels on the Gilroy line.
On Tuesday, April 5, Caltrain officials will survey riders at South County stations about their riding habits and take suggestions for streamlining and improving the service. As part of its effort to make up a $13.6 million shortfall in next year’s budget, Caltrain is exploring closing stations and cutting back service.
The Gilroy station will not close, but there may be fewer daily trains beginning in July.
