Gilroy – Gamers In Control emerged as the lone unbeaten Men’s EE League softball team Thursday with a 13-11 edging of Help U Sell Real Estate at Gavilan Sports Park.

Fred Tovar and Rudy Tovar lashed home runs in a five-run fifth inning as the 4-0 Gamers toppled the 4-1 Realtors.

Fre Tovar went 3-for-3 and Danny Rubalcava scored three runs to spice the Gamers offense. JoJo Gallegos, Jorge Landeros and Jaime Rosso stroked home runs in the Help U Sell second stanza.

New Hop Community Church slipped into third place at 3-1 with an 11-7 victory over ACP.

Anthony Contreras went 3-for-3 and Ryan Mull crushed a triple and two singles for the New Hope attack. Emiliano Mendez hit a two-run home run and David Lira collected two singles for ACP.

Matt McKay and Mike Catanguay each went 4-for-4 to spark VFW Bingo past the Good Ole Boys 16-1. Gabe Perez and Frank Perez Jr. each delivered three Bingo hits. Bill Miller singled and scored the Good Ole Boys run.

Heinzen Manufacturing maintained a one-half game lead in the Men’s E League standings Thursday by defeating NorCal Battle Brothers 16-6 at Christmas Hill Park.

Rudi Groppe drove in three runs and Tom Loe went 3-for-3 for the 4-0 winners. Manny Freitas and John Jimenez each scored three Heinzen runs. Jason Bautista went 3-for-3 for the Battle Brothers.

The Titans are 4-1 after a 25-11 decision over Claddagh Brew Crew.
