William Earl Dexter, a former Gilroy resident, died Sunday, June 12, 2005 in Mooresville, N.C. He was 87.
Born Sept. 28, 1918 in Gilroy, he owned and operated Dexter Dairy and Prune Farm on Pacheco Pass Highway. He was a veteran of the American Legion Post 669 in Gilroy.
He is survived by his children, Cheryl and Lee Wood of Gilroy, Alyce and David Draxler of Mooresville, N.C., John Dexter of Hollister, and James and Debbie Dexter of Atwater; grandchildren, Nicole and Brad Elmore of Catawba, N.C, Jerrica Dexter of Gilroy, Steve Jordan of Mooresville, N.C., Richard Dexter of Atwater, and John and Michael Draxler of Mooresville, N.C.
He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 45 years, Mary Mae (Duncan) Dexter in 1994.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm Friday, June 17, 2005 at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park, Gilroy. Memorial donations in the name of William E.
