Loco Boys Win Thriller Over NorCal Tires

Bike Center drops out of first place with Loss; Kim’s
Drycleaning remains in post season contention
Gilroy – The Loco Boys pulled out a 20-19 Men’s Winter E League softball win over NorCal Tires Monday at Christmas Hill Park to remain unbeaten at 4-0.

Singles by Jimmy Castaneda Sr., Kurtis Salter and Chris Eslick provided a three-run rally in the bottom of the seventh inning for the Loco Boys. Castaneda went 5-for-6 with four exta-base hits for the league leaders. John Gonzalez homered and Rudy Maquinalez and Joseph Perez each provided four hits to the NorCal cause.

Gamers In Control moved to 3-2 by stopping VFW Bingo 21-4.

Rudy Tovar ignited the Gamers attack with a double and two triples. Ernesto Salinas ripped a home run and single. Nick Magee homered and Frank Perez Sr. and Frankie Perez each went 2-for-2 for VFW Bingo.

Goldsmith Seeds turned back Don’s Vending to improve to 4-1 in Women’s Winter play, trailing only 4-0 John Perez DDS-Garlic World.

Bernie Lujan and Emily Hernandez each stroked a double and two singles to lead the Goldsmith offense. Liz Adams went 3-for-4 and Alicia Hernandez and Liz Talavera each singled and doubled for the 3-2 Vendors.

Kim’s Drycleaning Service (2-2) remained in post-season contention with a 20-1 win over Toby’s Girls.

Maureen Duggan collected three hits and scored three runs for Kim’s Drycleaning Service. Bridget Adams socked a single and two doubles for the winners. Stephanie Baptiste scored the Toby’s Girls run.

Bike Center dropped out of first place in Men’s Winter C play Tuesday at Christmas Hill by dropping a 13-11 decision to D.A. Wolfe Construction.

Benny Sanchez went 3-for-4 and scored three runs to help the Builders reach 2-2. Benji Dequin lashed two singles and a double, Joel Vaca a double, single and sacrifice fly. Bobby Reggiani capped the Wolfe scoring with a three-run home run. Jorge Zuniga went 4-for-4 with a homer and Mark O’Donoghue added a solo homer for the 4-1 Bikers.

Good Fellas defeated Dynamite 26-15 to advance to 5-1. Joey Barnes played six Fellas runs with two homers, a double and single. Ray Rojas went 4-for-4 and Rich Perez homered for the league leaders. John Adams went 3-for-3 and scored two Dynamite runs.

Mike Soto was 4-for-4 to key Crew Softball’s 13-10 edging of State Farm Insurance. Jacob Garcia and Josh Garcia each homered for State Farm Insurance.
