Two injured in motorcycle accident

Morgan Hill – Two motorcyclists were injured while riding on Uvas Road West of Morgan Hill.

Jonathan Heying, 29, of Santa Clara and Frank Priolo, 23, of San Jose, were taken to Regional Medical Center Sunday afternoon with moderate injuries. Heying had several broken bones and lacerations, and Priolo suffered a head injury and cuts and scrapes. Neither driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred as Heying negotiated a sharp left turn on Uvas Road south of Croy Road. A deer ran into the road in front of Heying’s Yamaha, and he braked to avoid the deer but the bike went into a skid and slid of the roadway, ejecting Heying. Priolo was following Heying and also braked, sending his bike into a skid and throwing him from the bike.
