Community Angels Honored for Service

Two individuals, one business will receive Angel of the Year
Awards Dec. 8
Gilroy – Two individuals and one business will be honored for their commitment to the Gilroy arts community at the Annual Angel of the Year Awards on Dec. 8 at the Willey House, located at 140 Fifth St. in downtown Gilroy.

Al Navaroli will receive the Volunteer Angel of the Year award for his longtime support of the community orchestra program.

The Gilroy Foundation is set to receive the Business Angel of the Arts award for helping to build a strong and united arts alliance for Gilroy.

Deborah George, a parent volunteer, will receive the Angel of the Arts In Our Schools award for continuing to believe in the importance of the arts in our schools through her dedication in bringing the Theater Angels Art League’s Arts Alive program into Gilroy Unified School District classrooms.

George has two grown children and two children who attend Eliot and Antonio Del Buono elementary schools.
