Sandoval’s Triple Pushes Pro Electric Past Los Amigos Construction; Stubby’s Hops Over Rhino Wiring

Gilroy – Mike Sandoval and Joel Gaeta each homered in a three-hit performance Monday as Pro Electric opened the Men’s C League adult softball schedule with an 18-17 edging of Los Amigos Construction at Christmas Hill Park.

Daniel DeLeon and Sammy DeLeon each drilled a grand slam in the second inning as Los Amigos built a 14-6 lead. Sandoval snapped a 17-17 tie in the sixth by tripling and scoring on a Matias Fanco sacrifice fly.

Stubby’s Sports Bar and Grill rallied past Rhino Wiring 8-5 in eight innings. Stubby’s scored three runs with two out in the top of the seventh to take a 5-4 lead. Isaac Hernandez hit a two-out double and scored on two errors in the Rhino seventh to tie the score. Mike McIntyre and Rick Louis each hit a run-scoring single in the Stubby’s eighth.

Louie Chavarrias homered for Rhino.

Kenny Hopf hit a two-run home run, Bob Reid added a two-run triple and Ray Garcia and Bobby Lopez each went 3-for-4 as California Silk Screening outlasted Las Animas Sweepers 9-5. Brian Cortez went 2-for-2 with two RBI for the Sweepers.

Art Mancera cracked five hits and Dave Ziggarte lined a two-run homer to lead Temple Inland past Going Somewhere 16-9 in Men’s CCC play Monday at Gavilan Sports Park.

Eric Brem went 4-for-4 and Lam Nguyen scored four runs and hit safely three times for Somewhere.

Steve Sourci, Mike Leslie, Brian Sullivan and Albert Alosi powered homers in a 24-11 Feather Haven Mill win over the Gilroy NAPA Slammers. Ralph Ortiz homered and Ricky Luna went 3-for-3 for the Slammers.

Bobby Granados hit three doubles and Kurt Simmons added two triples as Jus 2 Party topped VFW Vets 27-1. Jason Contreras singled and scored for the Vets.

Carrisa Kazachek singled and scored on a Benji Dequin triple in the bottom of the seventh inning to earn Dequin’s Auto Body-Stubby’s Sports Bar & Grill a 4-3 Co-Rec B League win over Lights Out Sunday at Christmas Hill Park. Kazachek went 3-for-3. Mike Hernandez went 3-for-3 and Antoinette Bowe scored twice for Lights Out.

Richie Rodriquez went 4-for-4 with a homer in a 16-1 Pacific Coast Bail Bonds victory over Yeah So. Joel Vaca tripled and scored on a Junior Gutierrez single for Yeah So.

Jim Sands lashed two home runs to help Cary O’Neal Roofing over All Out 13-6 Sunday in Co-Rec C play. Eddie Adame homered for All Out.

Liz Talavera went 3-for-3 and Will Lawrence hit a home run to lead Dee’z Nutsz and Cherriez by Chicks N’ Sticks 16-3. Alena Garcia went 3-for-4 for Chicks N’ Sticks.
