San Jose – A new farm-equipment business could replace Nursery Outlet at 13635 Sycamore Avenue by June now that supervisors have approved favorable zoning.

In a 4-0 vote Tuesday, the supervisors amended the county’s general plan to move the boundaries of the San Martin Commercial Use Permit Area to include the Nursery Outlet property, paving the way for new and different commercial enterprises to drop anchor.

San Martin resident Randy Scianna, prospective owner of the new consignment store for tractors, golf carts and horse trailers called “See Ya Grin,” requested the general plan amendment.

Nursery Outlet operates at the location with a special-use permit, but the new zoning makes it easier for new businesses to move in.

Scianna and his wife Kim Ahn hope to open their new business by June. He said he’s in the process of buying the Nursery Outlet property from owners Ken and Diana Dufur.
