Police briefs: Dogs escape, attack neighbor

 

Janis Gail Costanza, 55, of Gilroy was arrested after her son
failed to notify her about the side gate being broken and
Costanza’s two dogs escaped and chased a neighbor back into his
house. The neighbor wanted a citation issues for Costanza.
Burglars roll off with goods

Someone stole eight tires and rims from two cars at a dealership lot on Stutz Way, between 8 p.m. Sunday and 7:30 a.m. Monday. A total of $8,000 worth of tires and rims were taken, and the thieves committed $2,000 in damage.

Does this mean Christmas is over?

Some reported finding a blue suit bag containing a Santa Claus costume at West Eighth Street, 8:26 a.m. Jan. 8.

Caught green-handing

A Gilroy High School student was cited and released at 1 p.m. Jan. 8 after passing a bottle of marijuana to another student while being escorted to the office.

A spoiled heist

Two witnesses interrupted an auto burglary in front of their home on Concord Place, 2:40 p.m. Jan. 8. Both chased the three suspects on foot and lost them in the area of Princevalle and Ninth streets. The burglars made off with a California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation identification card.
