The South County Courthouse in Morgan Hill was evacuated for about 15 minutes at about 1:20 p.m. today, because “someone broke a sprinkler,” an officer on the scene said.

It appears that a sprinkler may have been accidentally damaged inside a room, which triggered the fire alarm. Two fire engines were on the scene at 301 Diana Ave. to respond to the alarm and everyone inside was evacuated to the far ends of the west parking lot. A sheriff on the scene asked those who were in cars to exit their vehicles or stay parked until the courthouse was secure.

No injuries were reported and everyone returned at about 1:35 p.m.
