Missing juvenile

A juvenile left home on West 10th Street on March 28 about 4 p.m. and hadn’t returned home by 3 a.m. March 29. The reporting party believed the juvenile, who has gone missing several times before, was out with friends.

A juvenile was reported missing from Christine Court, 4 p.m. March 28.

A juvenile was reported missing from Chestnut Court, 5:28 p.m. March 30.

A juvenile left home on IOOF Avenue, 4 p.m. March 27.

A juvenile was reported missing from West 10th Street, 12:35 a.m. Sunday.

Stolen vehicle

A thief or thieves stole a gold 1993 Volvo Sedan, license plate no. 6DHF330, from a parking lot on Margarita Place, between 11 a.m. March 26 and 10:32 a.m. March 29. There is a crooked “Vote Democrat” sticker on the rear bumper.

A thief stole a green 1999 Honda Civic from a rear parking lot at Gilroy High School, 750 W. 10th St., 3:15 p.m. March 30. A person saw an unknown subject driving the car away.

A thief or thieves took a silver 1996 Honda Civic while it was being warmed up on Floral Street, 5:05 a.m. April 5. The vehicle was recovered two blocks away unoccupied.

A thief or thieves took a black 1998 Honda Accord from the Wal-Mart parking lot, 7150 Camino Arroyo, between 4:30 a.m. Feb. 5 and 4:08 p.m. April 5.

A thief or thieves took a silver 1994 Honda Civic parked on a Fillipelli Drive driveway, between 9 p.m. April 5 and 6:16 a.m. April 6.

A thief or thieves stole a gold 1995 Honda Accord from a parking lot on Renz Lane, between 8 and 9:45 p.m. Friday.

Fraud

An unidentified person used another person’s date of birth and Social Security number to open fraudulent credit card accounts on West 10th Street, 10:32 a.m. March 29.

A thief fraudulently used a Bristlecone Court resident’s credit card in the Los Angeles area, March 24.

A thief used a stolen credit card at Target, 6705 Camino Arroyo, 12:49 p.m. April 5.

A thief used a St. Clar Avenue resident’s American Express card to charge $1,206.29, 8 a.m. March 10.

Petty theft

A thief or thieves stole a car stereo from an unlocked white 1993 Honda Civic in the 7800 block of Arroyo Circle, between 8 a.m. and 12:54 p.m. March 29.

A thief stole about six newspapers valued at $3 from a business in the 700 block of First Street, 8:27 p.m. March 29.

A thief or thieves took a license plate from Church Street, between 12 a.m. March 30 and 5:15 p.m. March 31.

Thieves entered an unlocked blue 1990 Acura TSX on Wren Avenue and took a blue iPod valued at $180, a black purse valued at $50, suitcases valued at $100 and a bowling ball valued at $100, 10:21 p.m. March 31.

A thief or thieves took a Spalding basketball hoop valued at $200 from in front of a residence on La Primavera Way, 10:30 p.m. March 31.

A female thief opened an unlocked passenger front door of a maroon Ford F25 and took a purse with a wallet and driver’s license at the Metro PCS store, 280 E. 10th St., 2:58 p.m. April 4. The victim saw the suspect get into a vehicle and drive away.

A thief or thieves stole a yellow BMX bike from Third Street, 12 p.m. April 5.

A thief or thieves stole a rear license plate from a black 2003 Toyota Coaster on First Street, 9:34 p.m. Saturday.

A thief or thieves stole a CD player from an unlocked silver 2002 Ford on Rosanna Street, between 11 p.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.

A thief or thieves stole a license plate from a gray 2009 Suburban on Mockingbird Lane, 8 a.m. April 5.

Found property

An unidentified person found a boys bike that had been spray painted gray on Third Street, 4 p.m. March 29.

An unidentified person found a purse on First Street and turned it into the police, 3:11 p.m. March 30.

An unidentified person found a gold BMX bike in a front yard on West Eighth Street, March 26.

An unidentified person found identification cards, Social Security cards and other miscellaneous cards at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo, 4:43 p.m. March 31.

An unidentified person found a motorcycle license plate on Chestnut Street, 10:15 a.m. Friday.

An unidentified person found a girl’s bike on Santa Barbara Drive, 7:03 p.m. Friday.

Vandalism

A vandal or vandals broke the passenger and rear windows to a maroon 1985 Chevrolet Suburban on Lewis Street, 5:03 p.m. March 29. The victim believes it was gang retaliation.

A vandal or vandals damaged property on Broadway Street, between 5:30 p.m. March 27 and 9 a.m. March 28.

A vandal or vandals damaged a Ford on Church Street, between 5:05 p.m. March 26 and 3:10 a.m. March 30.

A vandal or vandals damaged a Toyota on Ortega Circle, between 12:35 and 4 p.m. March 30.

A vandal or vandals punctured tires of a maroon 1985 Pontiac, a black 1994 Honda Civic, a silver Ford Mustang and a white Acura Integra on Wisteria Drive, 8 a.m. April 4. A possible suspect was identified.

A burglar or burglars gained entry into a locked green 1996 Honda Accord on the 9400 block of No Name Uno and stole a stereo valued at $150, between 3 and 6:30 p.m. March 29.

A burglar or burglars broke into a vehicle on Miller Avenue and West Sixth Street and stole from the trunk a backpack with an Everest College emblem on it valued at $100, three dental textbooks valued at $200 and various dental hygienist tools valued at $1,700, between 2 and 4:15 a.m. Saturday.

A burglar or burglars broke into a locked vehicle on Swanston Lane, 3:28 a.m. Sunday.

Child abuse

A juvenile male on Wren Avenue reported abuse from parents, 3 p.m. March 29.

Assault

A person hit someone due to an ongoing feud over the theft of the victim’s money, 6 p.m. March 29.

An unknown suspect or suspects stabbed a person multiple times on the left side in the buttocks and legs on West 10th Street, 5:24 a.m. April 3. The person was taken to a Bay Area hospital.

A person grabbed another person by the front of his shirt and pushed him backwards on Willy Court, 9:45 p.m. Friday.

Non-injury crash

A gray 1999 Nissan Sentra crashed near Princevalle and West Sixth streets, 1:45 a.m. March 30.

A person ran over a gas pump at Travel Park Circle, 8:56 p.m. March 31.

Recovered vehicle

Police recovered a stolen white 2008 Ford Ranger on Third Street after a pursuit, 4 p.m. March 29. After the pursuit, the suspects fled on foot and were not located.

Police recovered a stolen gray 1999 Oldsmobile Alero on Carlyle Court, 10:12 a.m. March 30.

Police recovered a gray 1998 Ford on Forest Street that had been stolen, 5:04 a.m. Sunday.

Commercial burglary

A burglar or burglars broke in Sunglass Hut, 8300 Arroyo Circle, and took boxes of sunglasses valued at $3,200, between 10 p.m. March 29 and 4 a.m. March 30.

A burglar or burglars entered the exterior storage compartments of an RV on Mayock Road and removed a barbecue grill and accessories valued at $350 and took a Honda pressure washer valued at $3,000 from behind a locked gate, between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. April 4.

Lost property

An unidentified person lost property on San Ysidro Avenue, 12:30 p.m. March 29.

A person lost a Wells Fargo debit card on Georgetown Place, between 2 a.m. April 7 and 4:31 p.m. Friday.

Residential burglary

A thief entered an unlocked home on Carmel Street and stole miscellaneous jewelry valued at $300 and a Wii game console valued at $300, 6:15 p.m. March 30.

A burglar or burglars entered a residence on Chestnut Street through an unlocked window and stole a Playstation PSP valued at $150 and a MP3 player valued at $28, between 9 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. April 4.

A burglar or burglars entered a residence on the 8200 block of Springfield Court through a rear sliding window and took a Playstation III, a remote control and video games, total value of $430, between 10:30 p.m. March 3 and 8:30 a.m. March 4.

A burglar or burglars took prescription medication from a residence on Swanston Lane, between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 5.

A burglar or burglars stole a woman’s pearl earrings, a wooden jewelry box with jewelry and a Wells Fargo checkbook from West Sixth Street, between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. April 6.

Trespassing

An unknown trespasser entered a yard on Valley Forge Drive through an unlocked gate, pried off the screen and opened the window, between 8:30 and 9:05 p.m.

Counterfeiting

Two unidentified individuals passed two fictitious $20 bills on Leavesley Road, 8:30 p.m. March 31.

A thief used a fraudulent $10 bill at Tony’s Smoke Shop, 231 First St., 2:57 p.m. April 5.

Injury accident

A tan 2005 Toyota Highlander and a white 2000 Toyota Rav4 collided near Eigleberry and West Sixth streets, 12:02 p.m. April 3.

Animal

A sick cat was reported on Monticelli Court, 5:48 p.m. March 29.

A dog bit an unidentified person near Church and West Ninth streets, 4:10 p.m. Friday.

Warrant arrest

A warrant arrest was issued on Camino Arroyo, 3:49 p.m. April 4.

Sex registration

A sex offender registration was filed on Swanston Lane, 9:51 a.m. April 5.

A sex offender registration was filed on Hanna Street, 12:32 p.m. Friday.

Identification theft

A Martiri Drive resident discovered that someone had used his Social Security Number to obtain employment in Rancho Santa Margarita, April 5.

Robbery

An unidentified robber entered Safeway and stole two 30-packs of Tecate beer, 905 First St., 7:56 p.m. April 6. The robber fled the store with the beer, and employees followed trying to get the suspect to stop. A second suspect waiting outside took a swing at the employee so the suspect could get away.

Road laws

Police stopped a white 1991 Acura Integra on Church Street for a mechanical violation, 12:04 a.m. Saturday. The driver was cited and the vehicle towed after the driver was found to be without a license.

Disturbance

A person was cited under the social host ordinance on Peregrine Drive, 11:31 p.m. Friday.

Rape

Someone reported being raped on Monterey Street, 12:38 p.m. Sunday.
