REC SOFTBALL: VFW Bingo doubles up Good Ole Boys, jumps atop standings

 

Dustin Robinson went 4-for-4, Jeff Castro went 3-for-3 and Julio
Zavala homered for VFW Bingo. Brian Rudolfs and Ray Guzman each
lined a double and two singles for the Good Ole Boys.
VFW Bingo reached 2-0 atop the Men’s EE Softball League’s second-half standings Thursday with a 16-8 victory over the Good Ole Boys at Christmas Hill Park.

Dustin Robinson went 4-for-4, Jeff Castro went 3-for-3 and Julio Zavala homered for VFW Bingo. Brian Rudolfs and Ray Guzman each lined a double and two singles for the Good Ole Boys.

The Regulators outlasted Claddagh Brew Crew 16-4 behind a triple and two singles from Ludey Nunez. Willie Weihmann went 4-for-4 for Claddagh.

New Hope Community Church topped Weapons of Mass Seduction 27-6 Thursday to move to 2-0 in Men’s E action.

Jerry Newmeyer, Rudy Rodriguez and Steve Quistian each powered four New Hope hits. Brandon Scholten went 2-for-3 and scored two Mass Seduction runs.

The Titans turned back No Soup 4 You 21-5 as Vance lee and Mike Vanni roped consecutive home runs and Craig Courtney turned four singles into four RBI.

Joaquin Chacon hit a two-run home run and a sacrifice fly for No Soup.

Trevino Brothers Construction trimmed Walton & Sons Masonry 15-13. Bubba Castaneda stroked a home run, triple and single for the Builders. Jake Wischman homered and Jaredd Reeve hit a triple, double and single for Walton & Sons.

Rush Order joined the Big Kahunas at 3-0 atop the Co-Rec D standings with an 8-1 nod over SoCo Locos Sunday at Las Animas Park.

Gabe Hernandez homered and Cynthia Garza plated two runs for the winners. Beth Morales scored the SoCo Loco run.

Blackout Window Tinting is 3-0 in Co-Rec C action after a 21-8 decision over Out 2 Play Sunday.

Trenna Burbank scored four runs and Chris Wing homered twice for Blackout. Donny Gooding went 3-for-3 for Out 2 Play.

Marco Lopez slapped a triple, double and single to key a 13-9 Hi-Energy Networks win over Gamers In Control. Eric Gebhardt paced Gamers with three hits.

Team Hair FX is 1-0 atop the Men’s D League after a 16-8 verdict over Family Affair Friday at Las Animas.

Tony Martinez went 4-for-4 to pace Hair FX. Vince Barajas tripled and singled for Family Affair.

Bike Center topped Feather Haven 24-15 as Nick Hilton and Andrew Bollinger each went 4-for-4. Phillip Alosi and Nick Bonfiglio each scored four Feather runs.
