Gilroy Police look for suspect in attempted gas station robbery

 

Police are looking for a suspect who attempted to rob a gas
station early Tuesday morning. At about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, the
Shell gas station at 850 Pacheco Pass was the site of an attempted
robbery, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

At about 2:30 a.m. Tuesday, the Shell gas station at 850 Pacheco Pass Highway in Gilroy was the site of an attempted robbery, according to the Gilroy Police Department. Police say the suspect is a 5-foot-6-inch white male in his early 20s and weighs approximately 130 to 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, black coat and blue jeans, police said.

The suspect approached a clerk and demanded money. He then grabbed the clerk, and after a brief struggle, fled on foot with the victim’s cell phone, according to police.

Police said no money was taken and there were no injuries in the incident.
