It has been forever
– and the intersection at Monterey Road and Las Animas Avenue is
still blocked off.
“It has been forever – and the intersection at Monterey Road and Las Animas Avenue is still blocked off. Why is this project stagnant? What is the problem? If I had been hired for this job and had drug it on for over a year, I would have been fired – months ago. Is this an example of bureaucracy at work (or lack thereof)?”
“When will the railroad crossing at Las Animas Avenue and Monterey Road be open?”
Red Phone: Dear Inconvenienced Drivers, The traffic signal light was turned on last week, said Gilroy Traffic Engineer Don Dey. The delay was due to the proximity of the railroad. Whenever work has to be done by a railroad, the California Public Utilities Commission, Union Pacific Railroad and the city have to work together to get the work done and reach a joint agreement, Dey said. “It makes for a long complicated process,” he said.
Is PG&E being sold?
“I was told PG&E had been sold. Is this true? And I heard the company that bought it likes money. Can you please check on that for me?
Red Phone: Dear What’s Going On, While PG&E faced a tough year last year with the gas line explosions in San Bruno and the rocky installation of the new SmartMeters, we haven’t heard of any rumors of PG&E being sold.
