Hruzova punished the Cougars in the post, registering 26 points.

“It was a good game,” CHS head coach Heather Stewart said. “We couldn’t contain their post player and we got ourselves into a bit of foul trouble.”

The contest remained close into halftime and throughout the third quarter, with the Condors holding a narrow 31-26 heading into the final period.

Haylee Peterson had five points, Merrett Brown contributed four points and Maddie Peterson and Kaitlyn Ramirez each had three points to round out the Cougars’ scoring.

CHS (3-6 overall, 0-1 MBL) hosts Seaside to resume league action at 7 p.m. Thursday.
