Seaside spoils league opener 3-1 over Cougars
Gina Rodriguez’s first-half tally for the Christopher High girls varsity soccer team wasn’t enough as the Cougars fell to Seaside 3-1 in the Monterey Bay League opener for both schools Tuesday in Gilroy.
“We played really well but had trouble scoring,” CHS head coach Janae Pimentel said.
The Cougars trailed 2-1 at the half and had two goals called off, Pimentel said.
CHS has the next eight days off before traveling to Monterey to take on the Toreadors Jan. 13 at 3 p.m.
