Roop Road has reopened after a truck carrying 70,000 pounds of lettuce crashed forcing its closure.
The California Highway Patrol said the 7 a.m. Thursday accident closed the road just off of Leavesley Road. The CHP said cleanup crews were called to aid in clearing away the mess of leafy produce.
According to CHP Dispatch the road reopened at 9:56 a.m. after the truck jackknifed.
CHP says the driver had to lay emergency road flares out as cleanup crews cleared debris, and two tow trucks were called in to stabilize the big rig.
There are no reports of injuries at this time from the CHP.
