With league play beginning Wednesday against Alisal, the Mustangs took the pitch for the first time in three weeks.

After surrendering an early goal to fall behind 1-0, senior midfielder Indra Garcia tallied, with an assist from Savannah Silacci, near the conclusion of the first half to send the contest into the second half deadlocked at 1-1.

Cynthia Sanchez hooked up with Alex Maldonado for the Mustangs’ second goal and a 2-1 lead late in the second half. However, the Acorns answered back to salvage the tie.

The Mustangs (3-2-3) host the Trojans (3-1) at 5:15 p.m. at Garcia-Elder Sports Complex.
