The Cougars trailed by 10 heading into the fourth quarter and were forced to foul to try and keep within striking distance, head coach Heather Stewart said. However, MVC hit 7-of-10 from the free throw line in the final period to keep the margin in its favor.

Hanna Tabron contributed six points for the Cougars who now sit at 5-10 overall and 1-4 in MBL play.
