Claddagh turned back ACUS 20-0 to also reach 4-1. Mike Lerma went 3-for-3 and Jake Moreno scored three Claddagh runs.
Claddagh faces the Titans Thursday at 7:40pm at Christmas Hill Park for the first-half title.
Trevino Brothers Construction powered past the Lost Boyz 18-15 as Mark Guajardo went 3-for-4 and scored three runs. Matt Corona went 4-for-4 and drove in four Trevino Brothers runs. Joel Torres homered and Anthony Bravo went 3-for-4 and scored three Lost Boyz runs.
Team Hair FX struck for nine runs in the first inning on the way to an 18-7 Men’s DD League win over Anritsu Friday at Las Animas Park.
Mike Kachel, Skip Bloom an+d George Espinoza each collected four hits to guide the Team Hair FX offense. George Martinez went 3-for-3 as Anritsu fell to 3-2 and locked up the first-half title for 100% Beef (5-1).
Daniel Valdez went 5-for-5 with a home run and Al Roybal added a two-run blast to guide Humboldt Brewing past HUH 26-12. Brad Hunter hit two homers and two singles for the losers.
Rush Order remained in first-half title contention in the Co-Rec C League standings Thursday with a 16-14 squeaker over Hi-Energy Networks.
Trenna Burbank, Chrissy Nelms and Tim Gallardo each went 4-for-4 as Rush Order reached 3-2. Andrew Mokres stroked a pair of solo homers for the Order. Tony Smith went 4-for-4 and John Trennery homered for Hi-Energy (2-3).
Benny Naranjo went 2-for-3 and drove in four runs as Our 2 Play stopped the Big Kahunas 12-4. Jess Alonzo stroked a two-run double in a four-run Kahunas rally in the seventh inning.
The Heathens (3-1) dropped a 15-11 Men’s D League game to A-Plus Learning Center in eight innings Friday to create a three-team tie for first place with two nights of play set for this week.
Adrian Ponce’s two-out RBI-triple capped a five-run rally in the bottom of the seventh as the Heathens forced an extra inning. Jake Wischmann tripled and Tyler Maslanka doubled as the Learning Center tallied six runs in the eighth. Wischmann homered and Marc Vegas scored three runs for the winners. Joel Lopez went 4-for-5 for the Heathens.
Willis Construction joined DeHaro Mechanical and the Heathens in first place with a 19-1 nod over the Bike Center. Mike Scardina hit two Willis homers. Roman Gaeta singled and scored on an Erin Bass double for the Biker run.
