REC SOFTBALL: Players-AD Auto Glass cleans up in seventh

 

Naranjo goes 4-for-4 in Out 2 Play’s big win
Advance Wheels opened the second half of Co-Rec C Softball League play with a 13-11 edging of Rush Order at Las Animas Park on Sunday.

John Carrillo hit a grand slam and Anthony Lucio plated three runs with a triple and double for Advance Wheels. Gabe Hernandez homered and Danny Pequeno lined three extra-base hits for Rush Order.

Art Naranjo went 4-for-4 and scored four runs to lead Out 2 Play past Hi-Energy Networks 19-2. Joel Garcia went 3-for-3 and Yolanda Lomas scored three runs for Out 2 Play. Tony Smith and Cory Tovar each hit safely in the fourth inning and scored the Hi-Energy runs.

Chaos topped Anritsu 19-4 in the Co-Rec D second-half opener. Mike Moisa and Carlos Bambino each powered four Chaos hits. Andy Alarcon homered for Anritsu.

The Borrachos trimmed Anritsu 13-11 in the Men’s DD second-half opener at Christmas Hill Park Friday.

Mitchell Reese hit a triple, double and single to ignite the Borrachos offense. Jeffrey Smith homered, tripled and singled for Anritsu.

Phillip Alosi, Nelson Villanueva, Bob Reggiani and Timmy DeCarlo each collected four hits as Feather Haven defeated Humboldt Brewing 27-14. Dave Keim Jr. drove in four Humboldt runs with a homer, double and single.

Donny Gooding’s two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning earned Familia-Dos Amigos a 13-12 nod over Team Hair FX.

Don Barnes and Chris Botello (4-for-4) each scored in the top of the seventh to give Hair FX a 12-9 lead. Thomas Andrade opened the Familia seventh with a double, scoring on a Chris Velasco hit. Kevin Orosco’s double set up the Gooding heroics.

Players-AD Auto Glass rallied for five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to upset 100 Per Cent Beef 11-10 in the Men’s D second-half opener Friday.

Five consecutive hits in the seventh gave Players the decision, capped by Mikey Ratcliff’s RBI-single. Johnny Burns helped the Players offense with a two-run homer. Mario Gallardo drove in four Beef runs with a homer and double.

Mark Vegas and Tyler Maslanka each hit two home runs to highlight a 16-8 A-Plus Learning Center win over DeHaro Mechanical. Craig Martinez went 3-for-3 and Jaime Hernandez scored three runs for DeHaro.

No Soup 4 You edged Bike Center 11-10 when Rich Luna scored the deciding run in the bottom of the seventh on a bases-loaded walk. Sam Juarez scored three runs for the Soup. Tom Chavez plated four Bike runs with a homer and triple.
