A Gilroy man suffered only minor cuts after his vehicle rolled into a ditch along U.S. Highway 101 near the Monterey Road exit Tuesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Arthur Pina, 25, was driving north when he lost control of his black Chevrolet Cavalier, which flipped onto its roof before slamming into a log, causing it to come to rest on its wheels, CHP Officer Eric Zuniga said.

Zuniga said Pina was driving 65 mph, the posted speed limit. Paramedics and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene, but Pina did not require medical attention, Zuniga said.
