The U11 Silicon Valley Storm went undefeated at the Omaha Champions Village Tournament, beating teams from five different states.

The team went 8-0, victorious over squads from Texas, Colorado, Utah, Missouri and Minnesota at the late-June tournament.

The Storm came ready to play, holding all their opponents to a combined six runs while scoring 40 runs.

Nolan Cisewski stood out by leading his team with a .714 batting average for the tournament. Teammate Lucas Schmidt led the team in the power department, hitting four home runs. Mikey Yanaguma added one home run during the tournament.

Schmidt had the game-winning two-run home run against the KC Huskers from Missouri, sending his team to the semifinals.

Nathan Medrano anchored the pitching staff and teammates Schmidt, DJ Washington, PJ Rochon helped in the pitching rotation as well.

The only trouble the team ran into was in the championship game against the TCT Grinders from Texas. The Storm led the game 5-1, but in the top of the fifth inning the Grinders hit a three-run home run that had the potential to turn the tables on the Storm. However, the Storm were able to keep the Grinders to four runs, taking home first-place with the 5-4 finish.
