Police have released a sketch of a man suspected of trying to lure a 10-year-old girl into his vehicle on Miller Avenue in Gilroy July 26.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male approximately 30 years old with a goatee and short, balding hair or a possible crew cut. He was seen wearing a white tank top with tan shorts, according to the Gilroy Police Department.

Police said the man pulled up in front of the residence, located in the 7600 block of Miler, around 4:35 p.m. while the young girl retrieved items from her parent’s vehicle, which was parked in the driveway. The suspect was seated in his vehicle and ordered the girl into his car but she did not comply, police said.

She ran into the residence and told other family members about the incident. A family member then called the police.

The suspect’s vehicle is described as a “dirty” two-door, early 90s Honda, with a white exterior and black-painted roof, according to the GPD.
