I live in a four-plex apartment in the east side of Gilroy. My
downstairs neighbor has a one-car garage.

Some stay 10 or 15 minutes and some stay all day. She also has five little dogs living in the apartment. I have contacted the landlord, who said she had fewer rights than she would like and can’t really do anything. I talked to the property manager, who said it may take up to four months to evict them. I talked to the Gilroy Police, who were very sympathetic but are over extended. I talked to the City of Gilroy, who said they would be able to send out a letter in the next couple weeks. But I am not getting any immediate relief of the situation. It is scary. It looks like there may be some sales of illegal things are going on. I was just wondering if there is anything that you can do.”

Red Phone: Dear Flustered by Traffic, It sounds like you have done everything you can do to get the ball rolling. You may just have to be patient for a little while. The property manager will want to make sure nothing illegal is going on and may need to do some investigating. At the same time, they will probably not want to lose a paying tenant. Fountain at park fixed

“I am here at Las Animas Park, which I really enjoy. They had a real nice water fountain that everyone used between the hand ball courts and tennis courts. Six weeks ago it was dripping so they tore it apart, but they haven’t been able to fix it. Six weeks, come on. I wish they would have let it dripped and let people keep drinking water.”

Red Phone: Dear Dripping In The Park, It appears the faucet is once again quenching the thirst of park goers as you mentioned in a follow-up call to Red Phone. The city ordered and replaced a valve for the drinking fountain and it is back in service, said maintenance worker Chris Weske. However, the city may need to shut down the fountain once again this winter to replace the supply line, he said.
