REC SOFTBALL: Three score four runs apiece in No Soup 4 You win

Jose Hernandez went 4-for-5 and Jake Moreno homered as Claddagh Brew Crew turned back Cross Ministries 13-8 in the Men’s Fall EE Softball League opener at Las Animas Park on Thursday.
Danny Russo added a double and two singles, plating three runs for Claddagh. Sergio Diaz went 2-for-2 for Cross Ministries.
Ralph Ortez, Manny Juarez and Brian Froelich each scored four runs to help No Soup 4 You  past Gilroy Thunder 20-2. Sebastian Van Deren and Don DeLaCruz each scored for Gilroy Thunder.
Ben Hartshorn, Ponch Flores and Ruben Sanchez each scored three runs as Anritsu defeated the Sweepers 21-6. Dave Elston Jr. hit two triples and a single for the winners. Joe Benevides hit a triple and single for the Sweepers.
VFW Bingo opened the Men’s E season with a 13-7 win over the Loco Boys Thursday at Christmas Hill Park.
Steve Lemberger and Adam Kirkpatrick each homered for VFW Bingo. Daniel Vasquez, Danny Pequeno and Matt Smith each drilled an RBI-single for the Loco Boys.
Bubba Castaneda hit a two-run homer and Mark Guajardo stroked an RBI-triple to help Trevino Brothers Construction past Burch Please 12-3. Benito Landeros went 2-for-3 and scored one run for the losers.
Bryan Sanchez and Tucker Baksa each homered in a 25-8 Lost Boyz victory over the God Squad. Abraham Buerciaga went 3-for-3 and scored two runs for the God Squad.
Out 2 Play reached 2-0 in Co-Rec Fall League action Sunday at Las Animas by outlasting Pacheco pass Produce 9-6.
Benny Carrasco homered in a 3-for-3, three-run effort for the winners. Phil Tercero went 4-for-4, Shea Adams, Tim Adams and Tiffany Marfia each 3-for-4 for Pacheco Pass Produce.
Guts & Glory joined Out 2 Play in first place in the nine-team league with a 22-9 victory over Team Xtreme. Antoinette Bowe, Ben Hemeon and Eddie Adame each scored four Glory runs. Amanda Ross and Willie Gamboa each collected two hits for Team Xtreme.
Team Rush defeated Hi-Energy Networks 28-10 to leave both clubs at 1-1. Matt Hernandez and Gabe Hernandez each mustered four hits for Rush. Eric Martin went 3-for-3 and Sean Subia homered for Hi-Energy.
Bria DeLorenzo went 4-for-4 to carry Anritsu past Storm 11-9. Aaron Miller homered and Andy Alarcon scored four runs for Anritsu. Dave Martinez crushed two home runs and a single for Storm.
