Police blotter: Adult arrested for possession of a deadly weapon and threats

Gilroy police arrests
Possession of dangerous weapons

Anthony Mims, 18, of San Jose, 6 p.m. Wednesday, near the intersection of Hanna Street and Welburn Avenue.

Possession of a deadly weapon

Lawrence Esparza, 52, of the 8000 block of Monterey Street, 10 p.m. Wednesday, at his residence for threatening to commit a crime resulting in death or injury and possession of a deadly weapon.

Battery

Angel Rangel, 29, of the 8000 block of Monterey Street, 10 p.m. Wednesday, at his or her residence for battery and parole hold.

Sonny Lopez, 26, of the 8000 block of Lilly Avenue, 12:20 a.m. Thursday, at his residence.

Fighting in public

Patricia Vallez, 36, of the 9100 block of Hennessey Way, 10:28 p.m. Monday, at 9365 Monterey Road.

Resisting a peace officer

Stacy Crawford, 43, transient, 1:51 p.m. Thursday, at 197 Welburn Ave. for giving a false name to a peace officer and resisting a peace officer.

Possession of marijuana

Judy Carranza, 43, transient, 3:10 p.m. Thursday, at 500 10th St. on warrants for possession of marijuana, being under the influence of a controlled substance, driving with a suspended license, failure to stop a vehicle and two counts of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Driving under the influence

Edwin Regalado, 22, of the 1200 block of Pappani Drive, 7:47 p.m. Thursday, near the intersection of Uvas Park and 10th Street for leaving the scene of an accident, driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license and driving without insurance.
