Volunteers are needed to help hospice patients who are being cared for by the nonprofit Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice. Opportunities range from general office assistance to visiting and reading to patients in the home and performing bereavement follow-up support.
Volunteers age 18 and older are needed in all areas, from King City to Morgan Hill. The nonprofit VNA and Hospice provides care to all who are in need.
The Gilroy Memorial Day Committee is seeking a new chairperson to organize the annual events that includes the Remembrance Ceremony, the Memorial Day Parade and Family Day at the Park.
Craig Gartman is stepping down as chair of the events after seven years.
