Officials from the California Highway Patrol and State Farm Insurance will conduct free child safety seat inspections from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday outside Arteaga's Market, 6906 South Chestnut Street.
The number of crash-related child deaths has decreased since 1975, but accidents still cause one out of three deaths among children 13 years old and younger, according to a press release from State Farm.
