Kay's Kids upset Ms. BeHaving

Kay's Kids-RSW Racing upset Ms. BeHaving 9-5 Wednesday in Women's League softball action at Christmas Hill Park.

Marie Lucio's two-run double helped Kay's RSW to a five-run first inning and 5-2 lead. Vicki Groppe added an RBI-double in the second and Kay's-RSW moved to a 7-3 cushion.

Lorraine Marquez and Jerica Dexter each fashioned three hits for the winners. Carolyn Martinez went 4-for-4 and Diana Lujan followed with three hits for Ms. BeHaving.

Draeger Construction moved to 4-0 atop the seven-team league with an 11-7 edging of Garza Sisters & Friends.

Cherise Martinez and Liz Talavera each socked three hits and scored three runs for the Builders. Cory Casillas plated three Draeger hits with a triple, single and sacrifice fly. Cynthia Garza doubled and singled for Garza Sisters & Friends.

Goldsmith is 2-2 after a 26-3 win over T&H Pools. Angie Macedo slapped a three-run triple and two singles for the winners. Tracy Nelson went 2-for-2 for T&H Pools.

Ryan Evanger hit two home runs to lift Pizza N' Stuff (3-1) past Blackout Window Tinting 21-14 Wednesday at Las Animas Park in Men's CC competition.

Bob Howard added a double and two singles to the Pizza offense. Jeff Wong homered and Chris Velador provided a triple and two singles for Blackout.

Harvey's Body Shop joined Pizza N' Stuff atop the league by topping the Platinum Roofing Slammers 18-1.

Taylor Micali, Arturo Garcia and Bill Souza hit Harvey's home runs. Rhino Souza scored four runs. Joaquin Chacon went 2-for-2 and scored the Slammer run.

Los Gigantes earned the first-half Men's C League title with a 15-14 win over DS Builders Monday at Christmas Hill.

Chris Soto and Nick Franco each stroked three singles as Los Gigantes moved to 5-0 and a two-game lead with one game to play in the first half. Josh Newton cracked a triple and two singles for DS Builders.

Pro Electric powered past Malibu Freezze 22-6, dropping Malibu to 3-2.

Chendo Acevedo and Julian Castaneda each homered for Pro Electric. Acevedo finished with four RBI. Duffy Kline went 3-for-3 for Malibu.

Bracco's Towing upset Dirty Dozen 16-11 in eight innings Monday to leave both at 4-1 atop the eight-team Men's CCC League at Las Animas.

Robert Sanchez broke an 11-11 tie with a two-run homer in the top of the eighth for Bracco's. Meme Lopez and Humberto Quintero added Towing homers. Alex Rojas and Sanchez finished with four hits each. Isaac Almanza hit a three-run homer for the Dozen.

Marco Lopez and Chris Boyer hit home runs as Just Drink It outlasted Tax Systems 16-8. Joe Valdivia homered for the losers.

The Desperados surprised Johnson Lumber 15-8 as Dean Filice went 5-for-5, Bob Stuve 4-for-5. Tony Lujan went 3-for-3 for the 3-2 Lumbermen.

Lawrence Espinoza hit two home runs, a triple and double to lead Lozano's Let Me Hit It by the Hit Men 19-14. Ernie Badillo doubled and tripled for the Hit Men.
