CalFire crews responded to a brush fire Sunday morning in a valley near Harvey Bear Ranch Trail, which is part of Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park in San Martin.

The fire was located at the end of Paseo Vista Avenue and burned up the Ed Wilson Trail, according to Brad Lewis, who was hiking in the area at the time and snapped photos of crews working to contain the flames.

“As a frequent hiker and wildlife photographer of Harvey Bear Ranch, I was able to capture our CDF department at work,” Lewis wrote via email. “There are several horse barns and homes in this area and I would like to thank the CDF department and crews for their efforts.”

A spokesperson from CalFire has not returned calls as of yet to provide details on the cause of the fire or how large it was.
