Gilroy – Blackout Window Tinting powered past Cosa Nostra 24-5 Wednesday in a battle of 6-0 Men’s DD League teams at a tie-breaker at Gavilan Sports Park.

Gabe Corral cracked two grand slams and a two-run home run to guide the Window Tinters to the first-half DD crown.

Juan Arias homered in the first inning for Cosa Nostra. Alex Pena hit a run-scoring single in the Blackout first before leading Corral around the bases on the shot to right field. Danny Rubio went 3-for-3 and scored four Blackout runs. Jose Serrano singled and doubled, Armando Hernandez scored twice for 6-1 Cosa Nostra.

Williams Dental Lab completed a 6-0 march through the first half of the Women’s B League Wednesday at Christmas Hill Park by topping 4-2 Handmade Healthcare 25-6. Cherie Somavia went 5-for-5 with a three-run homer for the Lab offense. Jenny Szyndrowski went 4-for-4 with four RBI. D. J. Simpson and Michelle Barry each went 3-for-3 for Handmade Healthcare.

Liz Talavera went 4-for-5 to help Don’s Vending past Dutchman’s Pizza 20-3. Jeanne Ramos hit a two-run single for Dutchman’s.

M&M’s and Goldsmith’s each finished the first half of the Women’s C League with a win Wednesday at Las Animas Park to leave the squads at 5-1. M&M’s will play Goldsmith’s at 7:40 p.m. on Monday June 13 at Gavilan Sports Park.

Laura Hagiperos went 5-for-5 and scored five runs for M&M’s in a 17-7 nod over Farmers Insurance. Suzie Romero slapped a two-run double for Farmers Insurance.

Antoinette Bowe and Esmeralda Hernandez each lined a triple and two singles to pace Goldsmith’s to a 12-3 victory over Image & Design Salon-Guy’s Heating and Air Conditioning. Julie Wheeler singled and doubled for Image-Guy’s.

Pacific Coast Bail Bonds (5-1) took the first-half Women’s D laurels with a 15-1 win over the Energizers. Angelica Garcia and Liz Gutierrez each went 4-for-4, Cherise Martinez 4-for-5 for the Bondswomen. Maureen Duggan went 2-for-4 and scored the Energizer run.

Kat Corrales pounded four hits and Lorraine Marquez added three as Kay’s Kids completed the half with an 18-4 decision over Toby’s Girls. Laurie Miller and Michelle Garza-Rivera each mustered two Toby’s Girls hits.
