Sex offender arrested for alleged indecent exposure

Suspect exposed himself to three female victims, sheriff’s office says

Authorities arrested a registered sex offender who exposed himself to three people—including a 13-year-old girl—the morning of Oct. 23 in the Morgan Hill and Gilroy areas, according to the Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office.

Sexual assault detectives with the sheriff’s office arrested the suspect, Damian Arellano, 29, of Gilroy, on Nov. 2, on suspicion of three counts of indecent exposure, reads a statement from the sheriff’s office.

On the morning of Oct. 23, Arellano committed three separate acts of indecent exposure in Gilroy and Morgan Hill, according to authorities. He is accused of exposing himself to three female victims, including one near the Gilroy High School campus. One of the victims was 13 years old.

Arellano was already registered as a sex offender at the time of his arrest, police said. Following his Nov. 2 arrest, Arellano was booked at Santa Clara County Jail on suspicion of multiple charges.
