A man was seriously injured after he was struck by a vehicle at the intersection of Monterey and Leavesley roads Dec. 26.
According to Gilroy Police, the man was walking near the intersection at about 5:50pm when he was hit. He was transported to a local trauma center due to the severity of his injuries.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative, police said. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected.
The intersection was closed for several hours during the investigation.
