Josefina V. Garza passed away April 29, 2009 at her home in Los Banos. She is survived by her children Andy (Christina) Garza, Jr. and Erma (Gino) Catalan, grandmother of Andy III (Amy), Janelle (Michael), Christopher, Selina, Alyssa, and Carissa; great grandmother of Neveah, Audrey and one on the way; brother-in-law Manuel M. Chapa; aunt of Manuel, Jr. (Dianne), Janie (Cruz), Henry (Curly), Yolanda (Eloy), and Adolfo; as well as many more nieces, nephews, and cousins. Josie was preceded in death by her husband Andres Garza, Sr., mother Alicia Castillo Vega, and sister Francisca Chapa.

Fairy Helen Corona

Fairy Helen Corona passed away peacefully Tuesday April 28, 2009, at the age of 79. Daughter of William and Nora Land, she was born in Kings City, Missouri. In 1941, Fairy moved to California with her family and settled Hollister. She attended Hollister High and graduated with the class of 1947. She is survived by her children Jack (Lupe) Corona, Richard (Joanne) Corona, of Gilroy, Frances (Frank) Coelho of Lemoore, Ted Corona of San Jose, and Nancy Blum of Lemoore, 11 grandchildren; Damien, Luke, Christopher, Matthew, Richard, David, Johnathan Corona, Julie Coelho, Savannah, Lorna, Dalton Blum, and several great- grandchildren, brothers Bob Land of Gonzales and Dale Land of Oregon, numerous nieces, nephews, brother and sister-in laws. Proceeded in death by her husband Octavio "Toby" Frederick Corona, brother Charles, sister Georgia, and sister in law Beatrice Corona. She was a devoted Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother who loved cooking, family, and spending time with her grandchildren. She will be missed by those closest to her.
