Louie Anthony Valdez, of Gilroy, passed away June 25, 2009. He is survived by his mother Ernestine Flores, father Jose Anthony Valdez of Jauarez, grandparents Tak and Lonie Katashima of Los Banos, sister Julie (Flores) Ruiz, John Anthony Ruiz of Los Banos, sister Vanessa Valdez of Rialto, brothers Jose Anthony Valdez Jr., Jessie Anthony Valdez both from Fontana and Adrian Anthony Valdez of Artesia, nieces Mariah Ruiz, and Alyssa Ruiz both of Los Banos, nephews Johnny Anthony Ruiz Jr., Isaac Anthony Ruiz both of Los Banos and many, many aunts and uncles and friends. Louie enjoyed spending time having bar-b-que's with friends and family and family get-togethers. He adored his nieces and nephews. Louie will be greatly missed by us all.
At age 94, Louise passed away peacefully at home of daughter Mary Ann Ruiz of Santa Clara, where she has lived for 8 years, since death of husband Erwin in 2001. She is also the mother of son Jim (Marlene) and grandmother to Amy, Katie and Matt (Dana), and is survived by more than 30 nieces and nephews.
James Edward Hults, 72, a long time resident of Gilroy, CA died after a long illness on June 23, 2009 at Kaiser Permanente Hospital in San Jose, CA. He was born on September 20, 1936 in Kansas City, MO to James Earle Hults and Bessie Mae Wolfe Hults. In 1964, he married Michele S. Kelley of San Francisco and made their home in Gilroy, CA. Surviving James is his brother Eugene Hults and two sisters, Thelma and Ruth. His wife, Michele, his children, Stuart Hults (spouse Janet); Mary Schiltz (spouse Chris); Audra Jenkins (spouse Jeff); Carrie Allegretti; his grandchildren, Brandyn Hults of Vermont; Wade and Wyatt Schiltz, Haleigh Nino, Mia Allegretti all of Gilroy; his many grand-nephews and nieces. James served in the Navy and devoted 41 years at the Gilroy Post Office. He was a kind, loving, devoted father and husband who had a big social circle of friends. His family and friends will forever miss him. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated as a mark of sympathy.
