Passed away peacefully at home in San Martin at the age of 77. She was the beloved mother of Randy and Galen Hogue; loving grandmother of Doug, Jason, David, Nicole, Chadd and Christopher; dearest sister of Marion Souza and Jackie Sullivan. She leaves behind her beloved cat, Cosmo. She worked as a Registered Nurse for 28 years at Wheeler Hospital and St. Louise Hospital. She was an avid animal crusader.
Sylvia R. Prado passed away in Salinas at the age of 39. She was born in Hollister and lived here all of her life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, involved with the March of Dimes and helped with a documentary for Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.
Frank J. Calabrese passed away peacefully in San Luis Obispo after an incredibly courageous battle against multiple forms of brain cancer. Son of Dr. Savin D. Calabrese, Eve Calabrese, and Theresa Calabrese, he was born at Wheeler Hospital on September 25, 1946. He attended St. Mary's Elementary School, Bellarmine College Preparatory, Gavilan Community College, and California Polytechnic, San Luis Obispo.
Jose H. Ferreira passed away September 22, 2009. He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Carmen V. Ferreira; children Oscar (Maricela), Maggie, Nicholas (Rosario), Patricia (Francisco), and Marcus Ferreira; step-children Jose, Jesus, Maria (Jerry Rodriguez), Javier, Paul (Gloria Martinez), Nina (Mark Delgado), Cricelda (Richard Santos), and Esequiel (Lori Martinez); grandchildren Angel, Abel, Harvey, Valerie, Jose Jr., Robert, Steven, Julian Jr., Vincent, Krystal, Veronica, Raymond, Joshua, and Gionna Martinez, Natalie Rodriguez, Nicholas, Carlos, Sebastian, Nicole, Oscar, Francisco, Fernanda, and Vickie Ferreira and many great-grandchildren.
