Gilroy church celebrates 25th anniversary

Jeanette (Jan) Slatten

Jan was born in San Jose, CA on December 6, 1935. She graduated from Lincoln High School in San Jose, CA in 1953. She graduated from Bakersfield Jr. College School of Nursing in 1966. She earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees while working at Kaiser Hospital, Santa Teresa. She was a Registered Nurse for 40 years.

Sara Marie Smith

Sara was taken from us too soon in an automobile accident in Lodi, CA. She was a great big sister, loved children, and wanted to be a Child Psychologist. Sara chose to be an organ donor and many benefited from her selflessness. Sara is survived by her father, Greg Smith of Herald; mother, Annette Smith of Lodi; sister, Maryann. age 10, of Lodi; grandparents, Jim and Nancy Smith of Penn Valley and Adamo and Ralene Marcoccia of San Jose; uncles and aunts, Rick and Tricia Smith of Arizona and Mike and Sibylle Marcoccia of Acampo; cousins, Jessica and Taylor Smith and Austin and Hunter Marcoccia. Services have been held. Donations, in Sara's name, can be sent to Lodi High School Scholarship Fund, 3 S. Pacific Ave.,Lodi CA 95242 Attn: Becky Jauregui.
