Populations of some species, such as the Cape Griffon vulture in Africa and the Oriental white-backed vulture of India, are even facing extinction. Many zoos and wildlife organizations throughout the world are actively participating in this event to prevent such catastrophic consequences
Frank P. Greco passed away Monday morning at his home after a lengthy illness. Born in Monterey and lived in Hollister as a child then lived in Reno for many years until coming back to Hollister in 1971.
