At the May 21 Gilroy City Council meeting, young artists who received Judges Favorite Awards for their participation in the 2012 Young Artists Poster Contest received ribbons and prizes for their entries. The theme of this year’s contest was “Be a Friend … Put a STOP to Bullying!” A total of 79 entries were received and 16 were chosen as judges favorites, with an additional three posters designated to be professionally printed and distributed throughout City of Gilroy and school district facilities.
