Rodenticides kill more than rodents

Last week the California Council for Wildlife Rehabilitators reported a major positive step, albeit on a small scale, toward protecting wildlife from rodenticides.

Authorities search north Morgan Hill gas station

The California Highway Patrol assisted state Board of Equalization investigators in serving a search warrant Tuesday afternoon at the ARCO gas station on the corner of Monterey Road and Cochrane Avenue, according to an officer at the scene.

The Gilroy Sister Cities Association has a selection of leftover flowers and herb plants that were used to decorate Garlic Festival booths. These will be on sale at "bargain" prices today until noon at LJB Farms, located at 585 Fitzgerald Ave. in San Martin, according to 2013 Festival President Dennis Harrigan.

For those in junior high and high school who had outgrown the draw of glittery face painting and colorful sand art in a bottle, the Teen Zone was filled with rides from Fun & Game Rentals, which offered adrenaline rushes for thrill seekers.
