Carl Maggio September 12, 1929 – February 6, 2017

Carl Maggio, 87, passed away on February 6, 2017, in Sonora, CA, at the home of his daughter, Carlene. Carl was born on September 12, 1929, to parents Beatriz and Anthony Maggio, and he grew up in El Centro and Los Angeles.

Aileen Andrews Bryson October 3, 1955 – December 13, 2016

Aileen passed away in Canyon City, CO after a years battle against lung cancer. Her love was boundless, her spirit kind, and all will miss her. A memorial will be held this spring in Colorado, contact daughter Jessica for details.

Gavilan College Classes Cancelled Wednesday Due to Power Outages

The Gavilan College public information office has announced that all classes are cancelled today, Wednesday Feb. 22, at the main campus in Gilroy, and additional instructional sites in Hollister, Morgan Hill, San Martin, and Coyote Valley due to a tree falling on a power line near the Gilroy campus causing widespread power outages.

Bus cuts proposed for Gilroy

Gilroy is set to lose three bus lines, fifty percent of its total coverage area, if a proposed network redesign is approved by the VTA board of directors in April.
