Corey John Colt January 10, 1947 – March 1, 2017
Born in Gilroy, CA January 10, 1947, died unexpectedly on March 1, 2017 in Lafayette, LA. where he lived since 1993. Preceded in death by his parents Wallace and Helen (Chabot) Colt, he is survived by his sister Marianne Peoples (David), Gilroy; niece Stacey Rosati (Michael) and nephew Ethan Rosati, Salt Lake City and many Colt, Chabot and Caswell cousins. Mass in the chapel at St Mary Church in Gilroy at 11:00am on April 6, 2017 will be followed by a graveside service at Gavilan Hills Memorial Park. Performance Food Group, a distributor and processor of fresh-cut produce throughout the United States has proposed a 241,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution facility with office space on 30 acres at 5480 Monterey Road, south of the Garlic Farm rest stop. The company would relocate Performance Food Group’s current location in Santa Cruz.

52 at Ferguson. If you're a Gilroy resident, or a commuter from outside of the area, you know the spot I'm talking about. The "new" light at the intersection of 152 and Ferguson that went in a few years ago. If you live close like I do, you know how often things go wrong or happen at this exact spot. The lights were put in to "help" with the fender benders and multitude of accidents that happened when it was just a stop sign. Too many people were impatient and caused gridlock right at this spot from all directions.
