Calling all educators.
The Santa Clara County Office of Education will host its 27th annual Teacher Recruitment Fair from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 22 at its San Jose headquarters located at 1290 Ridder Park Drive.
More than 1,000 qualified credentialed candidates register for the fair each year. To attend, candidates must have a preliminary clear credential or have worked as an intern for one year.
The event features on-site interviews, recruiters from multiple districts, credential specialists and a resource guide on Santa Clara County school districts and charter schools.
Candidates can pre-register on the SCCOE website, which allows for early admittance into the fair. The pre-registration deadline is 5 p.m. March 18. Click here.
Those who don’t pre-register must be confirmed before being allowed into the fair, only after 11 a.m.
Jobs considered in high demand throughout the county include speech pathologists, special education teachers, bilingual educators and teachers in the subjects of math, science and foreign language.
The SCCOE is also looking for teachers for students with several disabilities and visual impairments, speech language pathologists, school psychologists, migrant education teachers and alternative education substitute teachers.
