Dear Editor,

It was an interesting article published in The Dispatch’s Lifestyles section about one African-American family’s experience in Gilroy.

I empathize with the Stones because I am an African-American living in Gilroy since 2002, and thank God I haven’t experienced any obvious racism.

However, when we have kids and when they become integrated into the Gilroy School District we never know what challenges we will be faced with.

We just keep our faith in God because we do know that racism is taught in the home. Just keep in mind that we are all the same in God’s eyes and “love has no color.”
