Sports park lighting undergoes 24/7 test
Gilroy – The lighting system at the Gilroy Sports Park, now under construction just south of Luchessa Avenue, will be tested this week. The test requires a 24 hour, 7 day “burn in” period.

Register now for summer and fall classes
Gilroy – New students, returning students and high school students may register now for summer and fall classes at Gavilan College. Summer session starts June 19, and Fall Semester starts on Sept. 5. Rucker open house
Gilroy – The Rucker School GATE staff cordially invites you to their Open House, Wednesday, May 24, at 5:30pm. This event is especially designed for parents considering placement of their potentially GATE-identified children for the 2006-2007 school year. Rucker School currently offers self-contained GATE classes at the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade levels. Rucker is located at 325 Santa Clara Ave.

Gilroy Relay For Life fundraiser
Gilroy – Relay For Life fundraiser will be Saturday, May 27, from noon to 5pm at Fortino Winery, 4525 Hecker Pass Hwy.
Live music featuring ‘Cold Storage’ a ’50s and ’60s era band performing 1 to 4pm; wine by the glass and barbecue lunch. Fifty percent of all proceeds go to Relay For Life, the signature activity of the American Cancer Society.
